About

The cover gets a bench.

Who makes Thumbnail Bench, why it exists, and how the Resources library is written.

Thumbnail Bench exists because the thumbnail is the only part of a video most people ever see. Creators spend days on the edit and minutes on the cover, then wonder why the numbers do not move. We built a bench where the cover gets the same attention as the video: your face, your headline, a style the feed already understands, and a remake button for when the first one misses.

We are a small team of creators and engineers who watch the numbers. Every feature on the bench started as something we needed for our own channels.

The Resources library is written by the team, checked against YouTube's own documentation where a claim can be checked, and labelled as observation or opinion where it cannot. Start with the thumbnail guide or browse all 20 guides.
